Military hospital head suspected in draft evasion scheme

The head of the Chernivtsi military hospital was reported on suspicion of aiding in evasion of military service. He allegedly allowed individual servicemen to work in "civilian jobs" instead of performing their official duties. For example, one of them sold women's headscarves at the market.
This is stated on the website of the State Bureau of Investigation. According to the SBI, the head of the hospital allowed the military to engage in their own affairs instead of performing their official duties. They agreed on this through acquaintances or relatives. At the same time, the military were formally provided with all types of support in the unit, according to the Facebook of the Specialized Prosecutor's Office for Defense of the Western Region. Currently, they are checking information about whether the military paid the suspect money for this.
Suspicions were raised against two servicemen who, according to the investigation, were not actually serving in the military. One of them sold women's headscarves at the market in a stall associated with the hospital commander's entourage. The other worked at a service station.
Both servicemen are charged with evasion of military service under martial law, and the hospital chief is charged with aiding and abetting it. The articles carry a penalty of up to 10 years in prison. At the request of prosecutors, the court removed the commander from his post. Investigators are currently investigating the involvement of other servicemen in the violation.
We will remind, a Russian military man and a citizen were detained in Kharkiv, suspected of organizing a scheme to illegally travel abroad.
