Duties of indicted PGO prosecutor extended until July image

The High Anti-Corruption Court has extended the term of office of Oleg Gunko, a prosecutor of the Prosecutor General's Office, until July 19. The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office accuses him of receiving illegal benefits.

This decision was made by the Supreme Court of Ukraine on May 19, reports "Word and Deed".

As is known, the anti-corruption court extended Hunko's arrest with alternative bail . Money was deposited for Hunko and he was released from custody. The suspect was given the following obligations: to appear upon every request; not to leave Kyiv without permission; to report a change of residence; to refrain from communicating with four persons; to hand over his foreign passports and to wear an electronic bracelet.

Later, the electronic bracelet was removed from him, but the rest of the obligations remained unchanged. The SAPO prosecutor requested that they be continued.

To extend the term of the duties assigned to the accused (Oleg Gunko – ed.) for two months. To establish the term of the duties assigned to the accused until July 19, 2025 inclusive

– the decision states.

 Oleg Gunko is a suspect in the EBK database.

As a reminder, NABU and SAPO caught two prosecutors of the Prosecutor General's Office red-handed. According to the investigation, they received $170,000 in illegal benefits for closing the criminal case under investigation. Prosecutor of the UCP Oleg Hunko was detained.
