Tymochko, suspected of bribery, was released from the pretrial detention center on bail
The former head of the Western Interregional Department for the Execution of Criminal Punishments of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine, 52-year-old Ihor Tymochko, who is suspected of receiving a bribe, posted bail in the amount of 2 million hryvnias and left the pretrial detention center.
As reported by Zaxid.net with reference to the territorial administration of the DBR of Lviv Oblast, on September 23, bail was posted for Tymochka, after which he was released after spending four days in the pre-trial detention center.
Ihor Tymochko was detained on September 19 on suspicion of organizing a scheme to extort bribes from companies operating on the territory of institutions controlled by him. He was detained while handing over another bribe in the amount of 2,000 euros. The court chose a preventive measure for him in the form of detention with the possibility of posting bail. On the same day, Tymochko was dismissed from his post.
Tymochko headed the administration from November 2022, replacing Mykhailo Dzyudzya, who was also convicted of bribery.
