Court Cuts MP Horvat’s Bail to UAH 22.6 Million

The High Anti-Corruption Court reduced the amount of bail set as a preventive measure for People's Deputy Robert Gorvat from UAH 26.84 to UAH 22.57 million in the case against him and four other people accused of seizing land in Transcarpathia, which caused almost UAH 127 million in losses to the state.
As is known, the High Anti-Corruption Court set a preventive measure for People's Deputy Horvat in the form of a bail of UAH 26,840,000. His defense attorney requested a significant reduction in the People's Deputy's bail, but the court partially granted the request.

Recall, NABU and SAPO reported suspicions to People's Deputy Robert Horvat and three other individuals. According to the investigation, in 2016-2019, the politician, having influence over officials of the State Geocadastre of Zacarpathia, developed a scheme to seize land plots with a total area of 323 hectares. These lands were in permanent use of the State Enterprise "Leanka".
