SAPO Appeals UAH 93,500 Fine for Lawyer

The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office appealed the verdict, which found lawyer Ruslan Fedyniak guilty of abuse of influence and fined him UAH 93,500.
This is stated in the decision of the Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court dated August 28, reports Slovo i Dilo.
As is known, the High Anti-Corruption Court found lawyer Ruslan Fedynyak guilty of abuse of influence. He was sentenced to a fine of UAH 93,500. The SAPO prosecutor and the defendant's defense attorney filed appeals against this verdict.
To open appeal proceedings on the appeals of the defendant's defense counsel (Fedynyak - ed.) and the prosecutor against the verdict of the High Anti-Corruption Court of July 20, 2026 on the indictment of (Fedynyak - ed.) of committing criminal offenses provided for in Part 1 of Article 190, Part 2 of Article 15, Part 4 of Article 27, Part 3 of Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. To set a deadline of September 3, 2026 inclusive for filing possible objections to the appeals

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office reported the suspicion to lawyer Ruslan Fedyniak. According to the investigation, the lawyer promised the citizen for $1,500 to resolve the issue with the judge about closing the administrative case on his commission of an offense under Article 130 of the Code of Ukraine on Administrative Offenses (driving while intoxicated). However, in fact, he had no intention of transferring the funds, but disposed of them at his own discretion.
We also wrote that the AC of the HACC left unchanged the preventive measure in the form of a bail of UAH 242,240 with the imposition of duties , applied to lawyer Ruslan Fedynyak.
