SAP Sends Case of Ex-Ukrenergo Official to Court

The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office has sent an indictment to the court against the former director of the security department of PJSC "National Energy Company "Ukrenergo" Serhiy Totsky and his accomplice Viktor Yakovlyuk for abuse.

This was reported by the press service of the SAPO, but they did not mention their names. According to media reports, these are Totsky and Yakovlyuk.

The SAPO prosecutor, based on the materials of the NABU pre-trial investigation, sent an indictment to the court against an official of NPC Ukrenergo and his accomplice on charges of embezzlement of state funds. It should be noted that since the accomplice is hiding from the pre-trial investigation body, a special pre-trial investigation was conducted against him

As a reminder, NABU and SAPO reported suspicions against the former director of the security department of NPC Ukrenergo. According to the investigation, during March - April 2022, the head of the Security Department of PJSC NPC Ukrenergo, who was responsible for checking suppliers and selecting the most economically advantageous offers, ensured the purchase of bulletproof vests from a predetermined company at a price twice the market price.

Moreover, this supplier did not have the necessary permits and licenses and had never manufactured such products. According to Slovo i Dilo, this is the company TOP Trading Line. As a result of the transaction, the state suffered losses in the amount of more than 10.3 million UAH.
