SAP Seeks Asset Seizure from Justice Ministry Official

The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office requests the confiscation of a 2023 Toyota Rav4 and almost 750,000 UAH of Yuriy Savchuk, head of the notary department in the Transcarpathian region of the notary department of the Western Interregional Department of the Ministry of Justice.

This is stated in the decisions of the High Anti-Corruption Court and confirmed by media sources in anti-corruption bodies.

According to the SAPO prosecutor, Savchuk, the head of the notary department of the Western Department of the Ministry of Justice, acquired UAH 2 million in property. He filed a declaration for 2021, in which he indicated income in the amount of UAH 354,815.

Later, the official filed a corrected declaration, in which he additionally indicated a gift from his mother of UAH 2 million, who did not have official income for such a gift. Later, with this money, Savchuk purchased a 2023 Toyota Rav4. The court seized this car in order to secure the lawsuit.
