SAP seeks confiscation of Justice Ministry official’s car

The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office is requesting to confiscate the car of the daughter of Vadym Kirienko, head of the South-Eastern Interregional Department for the Execution of Criminal Sentences of the Ministry of Justice. The SAPO press service reported this, without specifying the official's name.

According to media reports, this is about Kiriyenko.

The SAPO prosecutor, based on the materials of the State Bureau of Investigation and the National Anti-Corruption Commission, filed a lawsuit to declare the asset used by the head of the South-Eastern Interregional Department for the Execution of Criminal Sentences of the Ministry of Justice of Ukraine unfounded and to recover it to the state income (civil confiscation). It was found that in 2023, the official's daughter purchased a Land Rover Range Rover Evoque 2021 model year car, with a cost on the day of acquisition of UAH 3,290,400 in the interests of her father, who indirectly performed actions with such an asset that were identical in content to the right to dispose of it. However, an analysis of the income and expenses of the official and his family members established the impossibility of acquiring this asset from legal sources
