Prosecutors have referred a case to court against the former commander of the 211th Pontoon-Bridge Brigade of the Support Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Oleh Poberezhnyuk, who is suspected of covering up the abuse of soldiers.

This was reported by the Prosecutor General's Office.

He is accused of inaction of military authorities committed under martial law or in a combat situation (Part 4 of Article 426 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).

The investigation established that the former commander did not react to the facts of inhuman treatment and torture of his subordinates.
