SAPO Sends Cherkasy Prosecutor Grekov’s Case to Court

The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office has sent an indictment to the court against Anton Grekov, the prosecutor of the Department for Supervision of Law Compliance by Bodies Combating Organized Crime of the Cherkasy Regional Prosecutor's Office, and Valeriy Grechukha's accomplice in obtaining unlawful benefits.
This was reported by the press service of the SAPO, but it did not mention the names of the accused. According to media reports, this concerns Grekov and Grechukha.
On July 1, 2025, the SAPO prosecutor, based on the materials of the pre-trial investigation of the State Bureau of Investigation and the National Anti-Corruption Court, sent to the court an indictment against the former head of the Cherkasy Regional Prosecutor's Office and a citizen who were caught receiving $41,000.
Let us remind you that Anton Grekov is a person involved in the EBK base.
As is known, the Pecherskyi District Court of Kyiv arrested Grekov with the alternative of 3 million UAH bail. These funds were deposited and he was given the following obligations: not to leave Cherkasy without permission; to report a change in his place of residence and/or place of work; to refrain from communicating with the suspect, as well as other witnesses and victims in the proceedings; to hand over his foreign passports for safekeeping.
The court subsequently reduced Grekov's bail to UAH 2.25 million and left him with only two obligations: to report any change in his place of residence and/or work, and to keep his foreign passports in custody. Therefore, the prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office requested that these two obligations be extended.
