Court reduced bail for ex-prosecutor’s deputy Maksymenko image

The High Anti-Corruption Court has reduced the bail set for former deputy head of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Prosecutor's Office, Natalia Maksymenko, from UAH 8 million to UAH 5.5 million. At the same time, her duties were extended until November 16.

As is known, the deputy prosecutor of the Zaporizhia region was released from custody after posting UAH 8 million in bail with the following obligations: to appear upon first demand; not to leave the Zaporizhia region without permission; to report any change in her place of residence and/or place of work; to refrain from communicating with a number of persons; to hand over her international passports and to wear an electronic bracelet.

Later, the bracelet was removed from her and the obligations to arrive on demand and not leave the Zaporizhia region without permission were canceled.

Therefore, the prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office requested that the remaining duties be extended. At the same time, Maksymenko's defense attorney requested that the bail amount be reduced.

To extend until November 16, 2025 inclusive the term of the obligations stipulated in Part 5 of Article 194 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine for the accused (Maksimenko). To change the preventive measure in the form of bail applied to (Maksimenko) by the decision of the investigating judge of the High Anti-Corruption Court dated September 25, 2024, by reducing its amount to UAH 5,500,000
