The head of a group of inspectors will go on trial in the Odessa region. She is accused of organizing a scheme to send men of military age abroad.

According to the investigation, the defendant offered conscripts unhindered entry to Moldova for three thousand hryvnias. The men arrived at the checkpoint on a day off. There, they were met by the escape organizer and let out of Ukraine without proper document verification. In particular, she allowed a car carrying two women and a man to leave, but entered information only about the women into the database.

The police officer was detained in March when she was receiving another bribe.

The woman has now been suspended from her position. The pre-trial investigation has been completed and an indictment has been sent to court under Part 1 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. Such a violation is punishable by up to four years in prison.
