Kyiv law enforcement officers have declared a 59-year-old resident of Poltava region a suspect. She is called the organizer of a corruption scheme to avoid mobilization. According to the investigation, the woman was selling fictitious disability certificates.

This was reported to the Kyiv police on October 29.

According to the investigation, the woman offered her "clients" a full range of "services": from completing a declaration with a family doctor and creating a medical history to further passing an expert commission.

Assuring that she had connections among doctors, the defendant suggested that one of the men organize the production of medical documents that could serve as a basis for obtaining a deferral from mobilization.

— the police report says.

She demanded $20,000 for her “services,” and the client could choose the “necessary diagnosis” on their own. According to the Kyiv police, the woman initially received $5,000 from the man for processing documents. During the next meeting, she received another $10,000 from the same client — as an advance payment for processing documents for two other men. She was caught red-handed while transferring money in one of the capital’s restaurants.

The case is being investigated under Part 2 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine - receiving unlawful benefit for influencing a decision-making by an authorized person. The sanction of the article provides for up to five years of imprisonment. In addition, the police said that they conducted searches at the place of residence of the detainee and other possible participants in the scheme. Currently, the pre-trial investigation is ongoing.

It was previously reported that two National Guardsmen in Kherson are suspected of extorting $7,000.
