TCP official in Vinnytsia exposed for bribery of fallen soldier’s mother
In Vinnytsia, police officers exposed an official of the district Territorial Center for Recruiting and Social Support for extorting UAH 190,000 from the mother of a deceased serviceman.
According to investigators, in April 2023, an employee of the mobilization work accounting department of the Tulchyn district TCP in Vinnytsia promised the mother of a deceased serviceman to help her receive a one-time payment from the state in the amount of UAH 15 million.
To implement the agreements, the suspect received a power of attorney from the woman to perform transactions on her behalf, quickly collected the necessary package of documents and provided instructions on their submission to the relevant official of the territorial center.
In December 2023, a TCP official learned about the payment and demanded that the defender’s mother pay her $5,000 (at that time, UAH 190,000) for influencing TCP and SS employees. The soldier’s mother agreed and transferred the specified amount to the official’s bank card. It was established that the official purchased a land plot and a car with this money.
Law enforcement officers exposed the official and on January 20, 2026, they charged her with abuse of influence and legalization of property obtained by criminal means (Part 2 of Article 369-2 and Part 1 of Article 209 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine). The court will soon choose a preventive measure for the suspect.
As a reminder, in February 2025, three fraudsters were detained in the Odessa region, who, under the guise of bank employees, defrauded citizens. Among the victims of the attackers was the mother of a deceased serviceman, from whom they swindled 3 million UAH.
