HACC Sentences Ex-Odesa District Court Head to 7 Years image

The High Anti-Corruption Court has sentenced the former acting head of the Kominternivskyi District Court of Odessa Oblast, Pavlo Dobrov. The court found him guilty of receiving almost 50,000 hryvnias of illegal gain.

The HACC sentenced the former judge to seven years in prison. In addition, he was deprived of the right to hold positions in state and local government bodies for three years.

The court also ordered the confiscation of all property owned by the convicted person.

The verdict does not enter into force immediately, but 30 days after the date of announcement, unless the defense party appeals.

Pavlo Dobrov is a figure in the EBK database.

Earlier, the Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court also upheld the verdict sentencing in absentia the former rector of Donetsk National Medical University, Petro Kondratenko, to 9 years in prison for receiving illegal benefits and money laundering.
