HACC Fines MP Klochko for Missing Court Hearing
The High Anti-Corruption Court has imposed a fine on Andriy Klochko, a member of parliament from the Servant of the People party, for failing to appear at a court hearing without a valid reason. The member of parliament is suspected of illegally enriching himself by over UAH 11 million.
The HACC is considering the case of Andriy Klochko regarding illegal enrichment of over UAH 11 million. He was informed of the suspicion of this offense in May 2024.
It is noted that at the previous court hearing, Klochko requested to postpone the hearing because he was supposed to be on a business trip, but the court refused. The Supreme Court of Justice noted that Klochko can participate in the hearing via video link, even while abroad.
The HACC recognized Klochko's reason for non-appearance as disrespectful and imposed a fine of UAH 6,656 on him. According to the Central Criminal Court, Andriy Klochko is on a business trip to a seminar as a representative of the parliamentary group on NATO issues.

Previously, the High Anti-Corruption Court reduced the amount of bail set as a preventive measure for People's Deputy Andriy Klochko from UAH 12.11 to UAH 11.2 million.
