HACC schedules trial of Cherkasy prosecutor
The High Anti-Corruption Court has assigned to consider the merits of criminal proceedings on charges of Anton Grekov, the prosecutor of the Department for Supervision of Law Compliance by Bodies Combating Organized Crime, Cherkasy Regional Prosecutor's Office, and his accomplice Valeriy Grechukha, in obtaining unlawful benefits.
To schedule a trial in criminal proceedings on charges of (Grekov) committing criminal offenses under Part 4 of Art. 27, Part 2 of Art. 15, Part 3 of Art. 369, Part 5 of Art. 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine; (Grechukha) committing criminal offenses under Part 4 of Art. 27, Part 2 of Art. 15, Part 3 of Art. 369, Part 5 of Art. 190 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine. The criminal proceedings shall be considered in an open court session, collegially composed of three judges.
As is known, the Pecherskyi District Court of Kyiv arrested Grekov with the alternative of 3 million UAH bail. These funds were deposited and he was given the following obligations: not to leave Cherkasy without permission; to report a change in his place of residence and/or place of work; to refrain from communicating with the suspect, as well as other witnesses and victims in the proceedings; to hand over his foreign passports for safekeeping.

It was previously reported that the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office sent an indictment to the court against Anton Grekov, the prosecutor of the department for supervising compliance with laws by bodies combating organized crime, Cherkasy Regional Prosecutor's Office, and Valeriy Grechukha's accomplice in obtaining unlawful benefits.
