HACC Schedules Hearing for Zaporizhzhia Regional Council Deputy image

The High Anti-Corruption Court has scheduled a hearing for January 8 in the case of Deputy Chairman of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Council Vladyslav Kutsenko and two other individuals for providing over UAH 650,000 in illegal benefits to the director of the Regional Center for Emergency Medical Care and Disaster Medicine.

This decision was made by the HACC.

To schedule a preparatory court hearing in criminal proceedings on charges of (Kutsenko – ed.) committing a criminal offense under Part 3 of Article 27, Part 4 of Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, (Vyacheslav Kolesnikov – ed.) committing a criminal offense under Part 4 of Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, (Olexander Chyzhelikov – ed.) committing a criminal offense under Part 5 of Article 27, Part 4 of Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine, at 09:00 on January 8, 2025 at the premises of the High Anti-Corruption Court

Vladyslav Kutsenko and Oleksandr Chyzhelikov are suspects in the EBK base.

As is known, the court arrested Kutsenko with the alternative of 3 million UAH bail. This money was paid for him and he was released from the pre-trial detention center to take up his duties.

According to the investigation, during 2023-2024, the suspects repeatedly provided one of the directors of the regional hospital with funds so that he would contribute to the victory of pre-determined companies in tenders announced by the medical institution, as well as to the opening of an account in a certain bank by the medical institution and the placement of funds in it. On February 19, the individuals were caught red-handed immediately after they provided another portion of the illegal benefit. The total amount of the illegal benefit reaches over 650 thousand UAH.

It was previously reported that the SAPO referred the case of the deputy chairman of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Council to court.
