HACC Extends Bondar’s Detention, Reduces Bail image

The High Anti-Corruption Court extended the detention of MP Viktor Bondar until September 26 and reduced his bail to UAH 36.33 million.

As is known, the anti-corruption court extended Bondar's arrest for two months and set him a bail of UAH 60.6 million. The NABU detective and the SAPO prosecutor asked the court to extend the politician's arrest and not change the amount of his bail.

Partially grant the motion. Extend the term of detention of the suspect (Bondarya - ed.) until September 26, 2025 inclusive. Set the suspect an alternative preventive measure in the form of bail in the amount of 12,000 subsistence minimums for able-bodied persons, which is the monetary equivalent of 36,336,000 hryvnias.

Previously, the National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office completed the investigation into three episodes of misappropriation of funds of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia", in which MP Viktor Bondar, Security Service employee Artem Shylo and others are suspected.
