NABU and SAP complete probe into Bondar and Shylo in UZ case

The National Anti-Corruption Bureau and the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office have completed the investigation into three episodes of misappropriation of funds of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia", in which MP Viktor Bondar, Security Service employee Artem Shylo and others are suspected.

This was reported by the press services of the bodies, without specifying the names of the defendants. According to media reports, these are People's Deputy Bondar, Shyl, the former head of the Production Support Center branch Oleksiy Onisymyuk, entrepreneur Volodymyr Kotlyar, a former employee of the Department for the Protection of National Statehood of the SBU Oleksandr Kovalyuk, and others.

SAPO prosecutors have decided to complete the pre-trial investigation into cases of misappropriation of funds of JSC "Ukrzaliznytsia" in the episodes of the purchase of cable and wire products, transformers, as well as the legalization of property obtained by criminal means. Today, NABU detectives, on the instructions of the SAPO prosecutor, have opened the case materials for the defense to review. These are three episodes

The first episode concerns the purchase of cable products for UZ, in which People's Deputy Bondar, SBU employee Shylo, entrepreneur Volodymyr Kotlyar and others are suspected. The second episode concerns the purchase of transformers. Shylo, his former subordinate Kovalyuk, former UZ employee Onisymyuk and others are also suspected. The third episode concerns the legalization of over UAH 159 million by SBU employee Shylo. According to the investigation, he transferred funds to the accounts of controlled individuals and legal entities under the guise of paying for the services of "beauty salons", and also purchased elite residential and commercial real estate.

It was previously reported that the Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court left MP Viktor Bondar in custody and did not change his alternative bail in the amount of UAH 100 million.
