HACC Extends Duties for Ex-Judges Palenyk and Dziubin

The High Anti-Corruption Court has extended the term of office of former judge of the Kyiv Court of Appeal, Ihor Palenyk, until August 9. The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office accuses him of receiving $35,000 in illegal benefits.
As is known, the anti-corruption court took Palenyk into custody with the alternative of 4 million UAH of bail. Later, these funds were deposited and he was released from custody under obligations. After the case was referred to court, Palenyk was obliged to: refrain from communicating with witnesses and hand over his foreign passports. The SAPO prosecutor requested that these two obligations be extended.
To extend the term of the duties assigned to the accused (Palenik) for two months. To establish the term of the duties assigned to the accused until August 9, 2025 inclusive.
The HACC also did not let Palenik go abroad, even though he asked to accompany his granddaughter to Croatia.
In addition, the court extended the term of office of former CAJ judge Vyacheslav Dzyubin until August 9. He has the same list of obligations.
