HACC extended Kyrylenko’s obligations until April 14

The High Anti-Corruption Court granted the request of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office to extend until April 14 the term of office of the head of the Antimonopoly Committee, Pavlo Kyrylenko, whom the NABU and the SAPO suspect of illegal enrichment of over 70 million hryvnias and declaring false information.

This became known from the ruling of the investigating judge of the Supreme Court of Ukraine.

Kyrylenko is obliged to appear at the first request of NABU detectives, the prosecutor, and the court, not to leave Ukraine without their permission, to report a change of residence, and to refrain from communicating with witnesses. According to the ruling, the obligation to hand over his passport and other documents for traveling abroad remains in effect.

Kyrylenko's defense requested that the obligation not to leave Ukraine without the permission of a detective, prosecutor, or court be lifted and that his passports be returned, which the judge refused, noting that this would "increase the risk of hiding from pre-trial investigation bodies and/or the court."

Considering that the suspect, even during the period of established restrictions due to martial law, has the opportunity to leave the territory of Ukraine... the investigating judge is convinced that the suspect, being unburdened by certain procedural obligations, in particular, in the event of the return of his passport and the cancellation of the obligation not to leave Ukraine without the permission of the detective, prosecutor or court, as requested by the defense, may take measures to leave the territory of Ukraine

Recall that, according to the investigation, in 2020-2023, Kyrylenko, while serving as the head of the Donetsk Regional State Administration, acquired 21 real estate properties and 1 luxury car by registering ownership rights for his wife's relatives.
