HACC Extends Duties for Kutsenko and Chyzhelykov

The High Anti-Corruption Court has extended the term of office of the suspended Deputy Chairman of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Council, Vladyslav Kutsenko, until September 18. The SAPO accuses him of providing over UAH 650,000 in illegal benefits to the director of the Regional Center for Emergency Medical Care and Disaster Medicine.
As is known, the court arrested Kutsenko with the alternative of 3 million UAH bail. This money was paid for him and he was released from the pre-trial detention center under the following obligations: to arrive at the first request; not to leave the territory of Ukraine without permission; to report a change in his place of residence and/or place of work; to refrain from communicating with other suspects in this criminal proceeding and witnesses; to hand over his foreign passports and to wear an electronic bracelet.
Later, the bracelet was removed from him, his international passports were returned, and the obligation to appear on demand was canceled. Therefore, the prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office requested that the remaining duties be continued.
To extend the term of the duties assigned to the accused (Kutsenko – ed.). The term of the resolution shall be set until September 18, 2025 inclusive.
The duties assigned to Kutsenko's assistant, Oleksandr Chyzhelikov, were also extended until September 18.
He is obliged to: report a change in his place of residence and/or place of work; refrain from communicating with witnesses; hand over his foreign passports for safekeeping.
