HACC extends obligations for MP Marchenko
The High Anti-Corruption Court has extended the term of office of Lyudmila Marchenko, a member of parliament from the Servant of the People faction, until March 27. NABU and SAPO suspect her of abuse of influence for receiving $11,300 in illegal benefits.
As is known, the anti-corruption court has imposed a preventive measure on People's Deputy Marchenko in the form of a 53,600 UAH bail with a number of obligations. In particular, she is obliged to: appear upon each request; report any change in her place of residence and work; refrain from communicating with witnesses; and hand over her foreign passports. The SAPO prosecutor requested that the obligations be extended for another two months.
The prosecutor's motion is partially granted. The term of the duties imposed on the accused (Marchenko) is extended until March 27, 2026, namely: to appear before the prosecutor and the court upon each request; to notify the prosecutor and the court of a change of place of residence and place of work; to deposit with the relevant state authorities the passport of a citizen of Ukraine for travel abroad, the diplomatic passport and other documents giving the right to leave Ukraine and enter Ukraine
Lyudmila Marchenko is a figurehead of the EBK base.
