HACC extends obligations for accused Energoatom director

The High Anti-Corruption Court extended the term of office of Mykola Bozhko, the general director of the separate division "Atomprojectengineering" of the state-owned enterprise NNEGC "Energoatom", until April 3.
SAPO accuses him of embezzling almost UAH 100 million. As is known, the anti-corruption court applied a preventive measure to Bozhko in the form of a bail of UAH 7 million. He was also imposed the following obligations: to appear upon each request; to report a change of his place of residence; to refrain from communicating with a number of persons regarding the circumstances set forth in the report of suspicion and to hand over his foreign passports for safekeeping.
The prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office again requested that the accused's duties be extended.
The prosecutor's motion to extend the term of the duties assigned to the accused (Bozhko - ed.) is granted. The term of the duties assigned to the accused is extended until April 3, 2025.
Mykola Bozhko is a figure in the EBK database.
As a reminder, the SAPO referred the case of Mykola Bozhko, the general director of the separate division "Atomprojectengineering" of NNEGC "Energoatom", and four other individuals to court.
According to the prosecution, in December 2020, an agreement was concluded between Atomproekteingineering and a previously determined private company, bypassing open tenders, to complete the construction of the Centralized Spent Nuclear Fuel Storage Facility.
In order to appropriate the funds of the State Enterprise "NNEC "Energoatom" through additional agreements, the suspects increased the price of the contract three times - from UAH 421 million to UAH 1.497 billion, in particular, adding to its terms the supply of radiation control system equipment.
The contractor company purchased this equipment at market value, and then sold it to SE NNEGC Energoatom at a much higher price in 2021. As a result of these actions, SE NNEGC Energoatom overpaid almost UAH 100 million.
We will remind, earlier the court seized 18 million UAH from the head of the Buchanan TCP.
