HACC extends obligations for judge Bilous

The High Anti-Corruption Court extended until May 18 the term of office of the judge of the Lychakiv District Court of Lviv, Yuriy Bilous, in criminal proceedings for abuse of influence and false declaration.
The High Anti-Corruption Court has imposed a preventive measure on Yuriy Bilous, a judge of the Lychakiv District Court of Lviv. He was set a bail of UAH 60,560 with the following obligations: to appear upon every request; not to leave Lviv and the Lviv region without permission; to report any change of his place of residence and/or place of work; to refrain from communicating with persons specified in the ruling of the investigating judge; to hand over his foreign passports and to wear an electronic bracelet.
Later, the electronic bracelet was removed from him and he was allowed to move freely within Lviv, Lviv, Ternopil, and Ivano-Frankivsk regions. The prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office requested that his remaining duties be continued.
The motion of the SAPO prosecutor to extend the term of his duties is granted. To extend (Bilous) the term of his duties, stipulated in Part 5 of Article 194 of the Criminal Procedure Code, until May 18, 2026 inclusive, but not longer than the term of the pre-trial investigation.
Yuriy Bilous is a suspect in the EBK database.
Previously, the High Council of Justice suspended Yuriy Bilous, a judge of the Lychakiv District Court of Lviv, from administering justice, as he is suspected of abuse of influence and false declarations.
