HACC extends duties for deputy minister image

The higher anti-corruption court extended the term of office of Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy Taras Vysotsky until January 29. He is suspected of embezzling UAH 62.5 million.

Previously, the court applied to Vysotsky a preventive measure in the form of a 4.99 million hryvnia bail with obligations, namely: to arrive at the first request; not to leave Ukraine without permission; to report a change of residence and place of work; refrain from communicating with a number of people and hand over foreign passports. Later, his bail was reduced, but the list of duties remained unchanged. The SAP prosecutor asked to continue their operation again.

The petition to extend the term of the duties assigned to the suspect (Vysotsky - ed.) should be granted. Extend the suspect for two months - until 01.29.2025, the term of duty

- is being decided.

It will be recalled that NABU and SAP reported the suspicion to Taras Vysotskyi, the first deputy minister of agricultural policy, and Oleksandr Hryban, ex-deputy minister of economy. Vysotsky is charged with involvement in abuses during two purchases of pasta as humanitarian aid, which caused losses of 62.5 million hryvnias. Hryban is indicted for one episode of causing damage of 33.7 million hryvnias.
