HACC extended duties for High Qualification Commission member image

The High Anti-Corruption Court extended until December 22 the term of office of Volodymyr Luhansky, a member of the High Qualification Commission of Judges, whom the NABU and the SAPO suspect of illegally receiving UAH 576,000. At the same time, he was allowed to move freely within Ukraine.

As is known, the anti-corruption court applied a preventive measure in the form of bail to Luhansky. He was also given the following obligations: to appear upon first demand; to report any change of residence and/or work; not to leave the territory of Ukraine without permission; not to communicate with witnesses; to hand over his foreign passports for safekeeping.

The prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office requested that the obligations be extended for another two months.

To extend the term of the suspect (Luhansky) of the obligations stipulated in Part 5 of Article 194 of the Criminal Procedure Code of Ukraine until December 22, 2025 inclusive, but within the term of the pre-trial investigation

– the decision states.

Previously, the High Anti-Corruption Court extended until December 17 the investigation into the case of suspicion of Volodymyr Luhansky, a member of the High Qualification Commission of Judges, in illegally receiving UAH 576,000.
