HACC resumes trial of ex-Odesa deputy mayor
The High Anti-Corruption Court resumed the hearing of the indictment against former Deputy Mayor of Odessa Oleh Bryndak in the case of the criminal organization of Boris Kaufman and Alex Borukhovych in Odessa, who had previously reached a plea agreement with the investigation.
As indicated, on October 6, 2023, Bryndak was voluntarily mobilized into the Armed Forces of Ukraine and appointed to the position of an officer of the combat stress control group. In 2024, he was appointed to the position of a lecturer at the Department of Military Training and Postgraduate Education of the Military Academy. Later, Bryndak was seconded to a military unit and the hearing of the case was stopped. Later, he returned back to the academy and the prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office asked to resume the hearing of the case.
To resume the criminal proceedings on the accusation (of Oleg Bryndak) of committing criminal offenses provided for in Part 3 of Article 255, Part 4 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine
