SAPO sends Shcherbyna judge case to HACC

The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office has sent an indictment to the court against Oleksandr Shcherbina, a judge of the Pavlohrad City District Court of Dnipropetrovsk Oblast. The High Anti-Corruption Court has scheduled a hearing in the case.
This is stated on the website of the Judicial Authority of Ukraine.
On March 20, the SAPO sent the indictment against Judge Shcherbyna to the High Court of Criminal Appeals. As a result of automated distribution, the case was assigned to Judge Kateryna Sikora. She scheduled a preparatory meeting for 12:00 on April 2.
As is known, the court applied a preventive measure to the suspect Judge Shcherbyna. He was given the following obligations: to appear upon first demand; not to leave the Dnipropetrovsk region without permission; to report any change in his place of residence and/or place of work; to refrain from communicating with a witness in criminal proceedings.
We note that Oleksandr Shcherbyna is a person involved in the EBK database.
Previously, the HACC extended until December 4 the investigation into the suspicion of Oleksandr Shcherbina, a judge of the Pavlohrad City District Court of the Dnipropetrovsk region, in receiving illegal benefits.
