HACC to Try Ex-Prosecutor Kulyk in Absentia
The High Anti-Corruption Court will try in absentia the former deputy head of the department of the Prosecutor General's Office, Kostyantyn Kulik, for abuses.
To satisfy the request of the prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office to conduct special judicial proceedings against the accused (Kulyk - ed.). To conduct special judicial proceedings in criminal proceedings against (Kulyk - ed.), who is accused of committing criminal offenses provided for in Part 5 of Article 27 Part 2 of Article 364 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine
Konstantin Kulyk is a suspect in the EBK database.
Previously, the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office completed the pre-trial investigation into the case of the former Deputy Head of the Department of the Prosecutor General's Office of Ukraine, Konstantin Kulik.
Recall, according to the investigation, Oschadbank appealed to the State Fiscal Service with a complaint about the decision to collect taxes. The suspect at that time, the first deputy head of the State Fiscal Service, Serhiy Bilan, having the exclusive right to sign decisions based on the results of the consideration of complaints and acting in favor of the enterprise, intentionally did not sign the finished draft of the relevant decision within the established period. As a result, the complaint was automatically satisfied, and the budget missed the opportunity to collect taxes and penalties in the amount of more than 641 million UAH.
