The High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) has allowed a special trial of fugitive People's Deputy Andriy Odarchenko. This was reported by the Anti-Corruption Center in Telegram.

It is noted that the relevant decision will allow the case to continue in the absence of the fugitive People's Deputy.

Judge Viktor Nogachevskyi of the Supreme Administrative Court granted the request of the prosecutor of the SAP to conduct a special court proceeding.

Odarchenko's defense attorneys asked to stop the proceedings until the execution of the search warrant. The defense noted that the prosecutor's office did not take any actions to find out the reasons for the non-appearance or to notify about the presence of court hearings since the issuance of the search warrant. The defense attorney stated that he lacked the deputy's testimony, the absence of which is allegedly beneficial to the prosecution
