The HIgh Anti-Corruption Court removed the electronic bracelet, but extended until June 1 the remaining duties assigned to the suspended head of the Department for Combating Smuggling and Violations of Customs Rules of Rivne Customs, Andriy Dzyuba.

NABU and SAPO suspect him of bribery.

Earlier, the Supreme Court of Ukraine for Criminal Procedure chose a preventive measure for Dzyuba in the form of bail , which was posted, and he was released from custody. The suspect was required to appear at every call, not leave the borders of Kyiv and Kyiv region without permission, report any change of residence and work, refrain from communicating with certain individuals, surrender foreign passports and wear an electronic bracelet.

The prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office requested that all duties be continued, but the court partially granted the request: it canceled the wearing of an electronic bracelet and expanded travel restrictions - now Dzyuba cannot leave Ukraine without the permission of the investigation.

The motion to extend the term of the duties assigned to the suspect Dzyuba is partially granted. The term of the duties is extended for two months - until June 1, 2025 inclusive, within the period of the pre-trial investigation.

– the court decision states.

Andriy Dzyuba is a figure in the EBK database.

As a reminder, NABU and SAPO have exposed the head of the Rivne Customs Department, Andriy Dzyuba, for bribery. According to the investigation, he, in collusion with other customs officials, organized a scheme to systematically receive illegal benefits for assistance in the smooth passage of customs control. In particular, imported goods were cleared at low tariffs, and the funds received were distributed among the participants in the scheme.
