HACC upheld suspicion against ex-Kharkivoblenergo official

The High Anti-Corruption Court has not revoked the notice of suspicion handed to Dmytro Myrny, former director for general affairs of JSC Kharkivoblenergo. NABU and SAPO suspect him of involvement in a scheme to seize UAH 12.5 million from the company and an attempt to seize another UAH 120 million.
The suspect's defense attorney filed a complaint against the report of suspicion. According to the attorney, the suspicion is illegal and unfounded.
Refuse to satisfy the complaint. The decision may be appealed to the Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court within five days from the date of its announcement.
Myrnyi's defense attorney filed an appeal against this decision.
Dmytro Myrny is a figure in the EBK database.
As is known, the anti-corruption court arrested Myrnyi in absentia because he is hiding from the investigation.
As a reminder, NABU and SAPO reported suspicions to the former head of Kharkivoblenergo Kostyantyn Logvinenko and four other individuals. According to the investigation, in 2021, the acting general director of Kharkivoblenergo JSC, in collusion with the controller of a number of commercial enterprises supplying energy equipment, created an organized group, which also included other employees of the company.
During April-September 2021, the head of JSC "Kharkivoblenergo" ensured victory in tenders for two companies that supplied 11,904 units of transformer equipment and 79,425 units of electrical measuring devices (meters and auxiliary equipment) at a cost inflated by UAH 132.5 million. At the same time, the price of individual equipment components was increased fivefold.
During 2021–2022, due to partial execution of the contract for the supply of equipment at inflated prices, JSC Kharkivoblenergo suffered losses in the amount of UAH 12.5 million. The intention to seize the remaining UAH 120 million was thwarted after the introduction of martial law and the conduct of investigative actions by NABU detectives.
We previously wrote that NABU summoned the defendants in the Kharkiv Blenergo case for questioning.
