HACC Removes Bracelet from Lawyer in Male Exit Scheme

The High Anti-Corruption Court removed the electronic bracelet, but extended the remaining duties assigned to lawyer Stanislav Klymenko until February 28.

NABU and SAPO consider him the founder of a scheme for issuing court decisions to allow men liable for military service to travel abroad.

As is known, the anti-corruption court arrested Klymenko with the alternative of 9.08 million UAH bail. These funds were paid for the suspect and he was released from the pre-trial detention center. Klymenko was assigned a number of obligations: not to leave the Odessa region without permission; to report a change in his place of residence and/or place of work; to refrain from communicating with a number of persons; to hand over his foreign passports and to wear an electronic bracelet.

The prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office once again requested to extend their effect for another two months. The judge partially granted the request, removing the bracelet from Klymenko.

The motion of the SAPO prosecutor to extend the term of the duties assigned to the suspect (Klymenko – ed.) in the criminal proceedings is partially granted. The term of the duties assigned to the suspect (Klymenko – ed.) is extended for two months, but within the term of the pre-trial investigation.

It was previously reported that the former Deputy Minister of Social Policy was informed of the suspicion.
