HACC Appeals Detains Gaiduk

The Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court remanded in custody for 60 days the acting head of the Central Territorial Department of Capital Construction of the Ministry of Defense, Vitaliy Haiduk, with the alternative of a 20 million UAH bail.

This was reported by the press service of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office, but did not indicate the name of the suspect.

According to media reports, this is precisely Haiduk, to whom a preventive measure in the form of a bail of UAH 2.72 million with the imposition of duties was previously applied.

On October 14, 2025, the Appeals Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court partially satisfied the appeal of the SAPO prosecutor against the decision of the HACC of September 14, 2025 on the application of a preventive measure in the form of bail to an official of the Ministry of Defense. The AС of the HACC overturned the decision of the investigating judge and issued a new ruling on the application of a preventive measure to the suspect in the form of detention for a period of 60 days, i.e. until December 12, 2025, with the alternative of paying a bail of UAH 20 million.

Vitaliy Gaiduk is a suspect in the EBK database.

As is known, the head of the financial and economic department of the Main Department of Capital Investments of the Ministry of Defense, Oleksiy Stasiuk, and the head of the resistance movement infrastructure support group of the Resistance Movement Department of the Special Operations Forces Command, Oleksandr Tyrsha , were detained by the National Police in early June after receiving the first tranche of illegal profit of $100,000. According to the investigation, they demanded these funds for the winning of a private enterprise in a tender for the construction of a 16-story residential building in Kyiv in the Svyatoshynskyi district on Mykhailivska Borshchahivka.

Later, NABU and SAPO reported a new suspect in this case - the acting head of the Central Territorial Department of Capital Construction of the Ministry of Defense, Vitaliy Haiduk.

We also reported that in the Lviv region, the SSU and the police detained an official of the Lviv Customs Service who, in exchange for kickbacks, facilitated the smuggling of jewelry.
