Appeal in Donetsk Court Head's Case Set for February 14

The Appeals Chamber has scheduled a hearing on the appeal against the verdict of the head of the court in the Donetsk region
The Appellate Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court has scheduled a hearing for February 14 to consider an appeal against the verdict, which found the head of the Druzhkiv City Court of Donetsk Oblast, Gennady Moliboga, and the former prosecutor of the Druzhkiv Department of the Kramatorsk Local Prosecutor's Office of the region, Vasyl Yagupets, guilty of giving and receiving a bribe.
This decision was made by the AC HACC.
As is known, the anti-corruption court sentenced Molibog to 7.5 years in prison, and Yagupets to 4.5 years.
The defendants and their defense attorneys have filed appeals against the verdict. The court has completed preparations for considering these appeals.

As is known, in the first case, Moliboga and lawyer Igor Serikov are accused of receiving unlawful benefit. According to the investigation, they received unlawful benefit for making a decision not to bring an individual to administrative liability.
In another case, in addition to Moliboga, Valeriy Melkumyan, against whom an administrative offense report was drawn up, Vasyl Yagupets, the prosecutor of the Druzhkiv department of the Kramatorsk local prosecutor's office, and Andriy Lada are accused. However, later, due to the involvement of a translator in the case, the materials regarding Melkumyan and Lada were separated into separate proceedings.
