Appeals Chamber Resumes Case of Former Judge Halychyi image

The Appellate Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court resumed consideration of the appeal against the verdict sentencing Vadym Galichy, former judge of the Zhovtnevy District Court of the city of Dnipro, to 3.5 years in prison.

As is known, the Appellate Chamber stopped the hearing of Galichy's case due to his mobilization to the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The AC HACC also ordered an examination of the video and audio recordings in the case. On December 16, 2024, the court received the conclusion of the examination, and on December 24, a response from the commander of the military unit stating that Galichy was dismissed from service on October 14 for family reasons.

To schedule the consideration of the criminal proceedings on the appeal of the defendant's defense counsel against the verdict of the High Anti-Corruption Court of March 17, 2021 on the indictment (of Galichy - ed.) under Part 2 of Article 369-2 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine in an open court session in the premises of the Administrative Court of the High Anti-Corruption Court

– the decision of the AC HACC is stated.

We also previously reported that the Appellate Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court left the criminal proceedings in the High Anti-Corruption Court on charges of the Deputy Chairman of the Zaporizhzhia Regional Council Vladyslav Kutsenko and two other individuals in providing more than 650 thousand UAH of illegal benefit to the director of the "Regional Center for Emergency Medical Care and Disaster Medicine".
