The High Anti-Corruption Court granted permission to former Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Mykola Solsky to leave Ukraine for Germany between January 14 and 28. NABU and SAPO suspect him of co-organizing land grabbing in Sumy region.

The Anti-Corruption Court has arrested the Minister of Agricultural Policy Mykola Solsky until June 24. As an alternative, he was set a bail of UAH 75.7 million. These funds were paid and he was released from custody. The suspect was given the following obligations: to appear upon every request; not to leave Kyiv and Kyiv region without permission; to report any change in his place of residence and work; to refrain from communicating with witnesses in this criminal proceeding and other suspects in this case; to hand over his foreign passports for safekeeping.

Solsky's defense attorney asked the court to grant permission to travel abroad for a medical examination and participation in the Global Forum on Food and Agriculture in Germany.

To grant permission to the suspect (Solsky – ed.) to travel abroad to the Federal Republic of Germany from January 14 to January 28, 2025 inclusive, for a medical examination at the University Clinic of Freiburg and participation in the Global Forum on Food and Agriculture in Berlin

The court also ordered the State Migration Service to return Solsky's passport for this period and for the former minister to return the passport upon his return, and to notify the prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office.

It was previously reported that NABU and SAPO have completed investigating the case on suspicion of former Minister of Agrarian Policy Mykola Solskyi in organizing a scheme to seize state lands in the Sumy region with a total area of ​​about 2.5 thousand hectares and attempting to seize another 3.3 thousand hectares.

In addition, the Supreme Court of Ukraine lifted restrictions on movement in Ukraine , but extended the term of office of former Deputy Minister of Agrarian Policy and Food Markiyan Dmytrasevych until February 19, 2025. NABU and SAPO suspect him of involvement in the Solsky case.
