Appeals Chamber Suspends Review of Sumy Judge’s Conviction Appeal
The Appellate Chamber of the High Anti-Corruption Court dismissed appeals against the verdict, which sentenced the judge of the Summer District Court of Sumy, Mykola Shershak, to 7 years in prison.
As you know, the anti-corruption court found Judge Shershak guilty of obtaining an illegal benefit. He was sentenced to 7 years in prison with confiscation of property. The defense filed an appeal against this verdict.
The appeals of the accused (Shershak - ed.) and the defenders in the interests of the accused against the verdict of the Higher Anti-Corruption Court of September 18, 2024 - to be left without movement.
