Hospital Director to Face Trial for Overpayment

The director of a hospital in Varasha is suspected of official negligence, which led to UAH 1.8 million in losses. The official purchased an oxygen station at a significantly inflated price.

According to the investigation, in 2021, the director of one of the Varasha medical institutions purchased an oxygen station at a significantly inflated price. According to the expert examination, the overpayment amounted to almost UAH 1.8 million, which was allocated from the budget of the Varasha community.

As the media learned from their own sources, the suspect is the 56-year-old director of the Varasha Multi-Profile Hospital, Tetyana Latyshenko. In August 2025, the chief physician was suspended from her position, but a month later she was reinstated.

For official negligence that caused grave consequences (Part 2 of Article 367 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine), the official faces up to five years in prison. During the investigation, Tatyana Latyshenko's property was seized.

Tetyana Latishenko is a figurehead of the EBK base.
