The Prosecutor General has ordered an official investigation into the purchase of luxury real estate in Bukovel by relatives of regional prosecutors. Among them are the head of the Volyn Regional Prosecutor's Office, Oleksandr Synyuk, prosecutor of the Vinnytsia Regional Prosecutor's Office, Oleksandr Mykhaylyn, and head of the Left Bank District Prosecutor's Office of the Dnipro, Oleksandr Chechytko. The Bihus.Info website drew attention to the prosecutors' wealth.

In particular, Oleksandr Synyuk's declaration does not include his own property, but in 2022 his wife bought apartments in the Bukovel Hvoya hotel with a declared value of UAH 183,000, despite the fact that a similar room on the secondary market costs at least $162,000.

The prosecutor's mother-in-law, Halyna Litushko, who does not have an official business, bought an apartment in Glacier worth $200,000.

Also, the father of the prosecutor of the Vinnytsia Regional Prosecutor's Office, Oleg Mykhailyna, who has been heading the department for ensuring activities in the field of preventing and combating corruption for the 9th year, invested in his own square meters in Glacier in 2023. 30 m² for the 71-year-old Mykhailyna Sr. as of the date of signing the contract should have cost at least $130,000.

The father-in-law of the head of the Left-Bank District Prosecutor's Office of the Dnipro, Oleksandr Chechitko, also has his own apartments in Glacier. He purchased 37 m² in the fall of 2025. At market prices at that time, they would have cost $180,000. In his response to journalists, Chechitko noted that he does not use the apartments, and his father-in-law and mother-in-law have their own businesses and can afford such expensive purchases.

In order to establish all the circumstances and provide a proper assessment of the possible non-compliance with the requirements, prohibitions or restrictions provided for by the Law of Ukraine “On Prevention of Corruption”, an internal investigation has been initiated against prosecutors Chechitka O. A., Mykhailyna O. M., and Synyuk O. V. Based on the results of the internal investigation, a decision will be made in accordance with the law

– reported in the PGO.

The 10-story Glacier Premium Apartments hotel with 810 apartments in Bukovel with a rooftop SPA, gym and luxury boutiques was built by the Glacier Hill company, created at the beginning of the full-scale invasion. Its co-owner with over 33% is Oksana Chebotar - the daughter of Serhiy Chebotar, former Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs Arsen Avakov. Another co-owner of the hotel is Vasyl Kavlak, a Frankivsk developer and a permanent partner of the Bukovel resort. At the time of sale, a square meter cost from $4,000. Now all the apartments from the developer are sold out, so they can only be purchased on the secondary market.
