TCP official detained in Chernihiv region over influence on MMC decisions

In Chernihiv region, law enforcement officers exposed an officer of the mobilization department of one of the district TCP and SS who, for money, influenced the decisions of the military medical commission regarding those liable for military service.
This was reported by the State Bureau of Investigation and the Specialized Prosecutor's Office for Defense of the Central Region.
According to the investigation, the defendant proposed to an old friend a corruption scheme to evade mobilization, the key element of which was the use of official position and informal "friendly ties" to influence the results of the military medical commission.
The suspect guaranteed to ensure the execution of the "necessary" conclusion of the Military Medical Service recognizing the man as limitedly fit for military service. This status effectively excluded mobilization to combat units and military units participating in direct combat operations.
The official demanded 2.5 thousand US dollars for resolving the issue. During another transfer of illegal benefits, law enforcement officers caught him red-handed at the moment of receiving the funds.
Currently, the officer has been notified of suspicion of committing a criminal offense under Part 5 of Article 27, Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (assistance in obtaining an unlawful benefit by an official). The court has chosen for him a preventive measure in the form of detention with the possibility of posting bail.
As part of the pre-trial investigation, the Bureau's investigators are checking the possible involvement of other officials of the TCP and SS, as well as members of the MMC, both in drawing up a specific "correct" conclusion and in other possible episodes of illegal activity.
Earlier in Vinnytsia, police officers exposed an official of the district Territorial Center for Recruiting and Social Support for extorting UAH 190,000 from the mother of a deceased serviceman.
In addition, in the Zhytomyr region, law enforcement officers detained two servicemen of the TCP and SS, who are suspected of organizing a bribery scheme to remove the "wanted" status from those liable for military service. Two of the defendants in the case have already been notified of the suspicion. The Zhytomyr CCC and SP commented on this case.
