NABU announces bribery suspicion against Yuliia Tymoshenko

MP and head of the Batkivshchyna party Yulia Tymoshenko has been declared under suspicion. This is reported by the media with reference to their own sources among politicians. In addition, Yulia Tymoshenko confirmed that searches were carried out in the Batkivshchyna party office.
The so-called "urgent investigative actions" that lasted all night have ended in the party office of "Batkivshchyna". "Urgent investigative actions" that have nothing to do with law and order. They found nothing, so they simply took my work phones, parliamentary documents and personal savings, the information about which is fully reflected in the official declaration. I categorically reject all absurd accusations
The MP did not specify which law enforcement agencies searched the office. However, she accused the security forces of "seizing the building and taking hostages." She also called the investigative actions a "cleansing of competitors" before possible elections.
More than thirty men armed to the teeth without presenting any documents actually seized the building and took the employees hostage. It seems that the elections are much closer than it seemed. And someone decided to start a purge of competitors. This is not the first political order against me. Persecution and terror have been my everyday life for many years. I have not been afraid of anything for a long time, because I know that I am honest with myself, with people and with Ukraine
At the same time, media outlets, citing their own sources, reported that anti-corruption authorities have declared Yulia Tymoshenko under suspicion. Journalists emphasized that NABU has so far refused to comment. Other media outlets, citing sources in law enforcement agencies, specify that Tymoshenko is suspected of bribery. Journalists also learned that law enforcement officers plan to file a petition to elect a preventive measure for the People's Deputy.
Later, NABU confirmed the announcement of suspicion against the head of one of the parliamentary factions of the Verkhovna Rada. It is indicated that she is accused of offering to provide illegal benefits to MPs.
According to the investigation, after the NABU and SAPO revealed in December 2025 the facts of receiving illegal benefits by Ukrainian MPs for making decisions on draft laws in parliament, the suspect initiated negotiations with individual MPs on the introduction of a systematic mechanism for providing illegal benefits in exchange for loyal behavior during voting. These were not one-time agreements, but a regular mechanism of cooperation that provided for payments in advance and was designed for a long period.
In addition, NABU published recordings of conversations it made during the investigation of a corruption scheme. In the audio, a woman can be heard giving instructions to one of the deputies about voting in the Verkhovna Rada.
The vote-buying agreements concerned not only draft laws, but also personnel decisions. Investigators published a screenshot with instructions for people's deputies. The organizer of the corruption scheme writes to the deputies under her control in one of the messengers how they should vote for dismissal or appointment to a position. The vote, in particular, concerned the dismissal of Vasyl Malyuk from the post of head of the SBU.
Previously, NABU reported the exposure of the head of one of the factions of the Verkhovna Rada, who offered bribes to a number of people's deputies for voting in parliament.
Investigators said that the faction leader offered bribes to deputies who did not belong to this faction. It is indicated that for money, people's deputies were supposed to vote "for" or "against" specific bills. Law enforcement officers qualified the case under Part 4 of Article 369 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine (offer, promise or provision of an illegal benefit to an official occupying a particularly responsible position).
Law enforcement officers traditionally did not specify the name of the person involved, but according to media reports, it was Yulia Tymoshenko, the head of the Batkivshchyna party.
Earlier, NABU and SAPO also exposed an organized criminal group that included current MPs. According to the investigation, the MPs systematically received bribes for the "necessary" vote in the Verkhovna Rada. The bribe amounts ranged from 2 to 20 thousand dollars.
Subsequently, multimillion-dollar bails were posted for two suspects in the case of receiving bribes for voting in parliament. These are MPs from the Servant of the People party, Olga Savchenko and Yevhen Pivovarov.
