The High Anti-Corruption Court has extended the term of office of former Supreme Court Chief Justice Vsevolod Knyazev until January 13, 2026. The Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office accuses him of receiving $1.8 million in illegal benefits.

The press service of the HACC reports this, but does not indicate the name of the accused.

As is known, Knyazev was released from custody after paying over UAH 18 million in bail. He was given the following obligations: to appear upon every request; not to leave Ukraine without permission; to report any change of residence and/or work; to refrain from communicating with convicted Oleg Horetsky and suspect Kostyantyn Zhevag, as well as witnesses; to hand over his foreign passports and wear an electronic bracelet. The bracelet was later removed from him.

The HACC has extended the term of the procedural obligations of the former Chairman of the Supreme Court. The accused must: appear at every request to the prosecutor and the court; not leave the territory of Ukraine without the permission of the prosecutor and the court; notify the prosecutor or the court of a change in his place of residence and place of work; refrain from communicating with persons specified in the court ruling; hand over his foreign passports for safekeeping. The term of the ruling is until January 13, 2026 inclusive.
