Earlier, "Slidstva.Info" journalists learned that the new Minister of Agricultural Policy Vitaliy Koval lives in an elite residential complex in an apartment owned by his mother-in-law Halyna Baranyuk. However, her income probably would not be enough for such an expensive purchase.

As the journalists found out, the minister's mother-in-law bought an apartment in 2021 for an approximate cost of 17.7 million hryvnias, although she previously worked as an accountant, and her average monthly income was only 6,000 hryvnias. Investigators did not find any significant property sales that could explain such a purchase in the registers.

It is noted that at the time of the purchase of housing, Vitaliy Koval was the head of the Rivne Regional State Administration, and before that he headed a construction company that received state orders during his stay in the Regional State Administration.

Journalists tried to get a comment from Koval, but he did not respond. His mother-in-law only said briefly, "Well, what did you declare," and then hung up.
