The son of the former head of the Security Service of Ukraine, Ivan Bakanov, Artur Lazarenko, purchased a plot of land in the Kyiv region at a price that was three times lower than the cost price. On a plot in the village of Khodosivka, 27-year-old Lazarenko is building a large estate with an area of about 300 square meters. m. This was found out by the journalists of the "Schemes" program.

The material says that Lazarenko became the owner of 10 acres with an unfinished house in 2021, having paid UAH 455,000 for the land (about $17,000 at the then exchange rate). Previously, the previous owner purchased this plot for UAH 1.4 million (approximately $50.2 thousand). Journalists could not contact the woman for comment, as she did not respond to calls and messages.

Real estate experts explained that the value in sales contracts is often understated to reduce the tax burden. During filming on the territory of Lazarenko's house, journalists saw workers who were probably performing the final construction and finishing works.

After the investigation, Artur Lazarenko sent a comment to journalists, in which he claimed that he had purchased the property in accordance with the law and had all the necessary permits for the construction of a house with an area of 219 square meters. m. He noted that he has been working for many years, lives separately from his parents and has legal income and credit obligations that allowed him to make a purchase and carry out construction work. The building is currently not put into operation, and Lazarenko does not live there.

According to the media, Ivan Bakanov previously, after the start of the full-scale invasion, hired his son to serve in the SSU, where he still works. The Security Service of Ukraine confirmed this information, noting that Lazarenko was hired when his father headed the department.

However, in his declaration, the official indicated three times less value of this property.

"EBK" also reported that the family of People's Deputy Roman Ivanisov, who is a member of the Verkhovna Rada Committee on Anti-corruption Policy, purchased several expensive cars and real estate during his term as a deputy .
