An official of MSEC in Kyiv region will be tried for mobilization schemes
In the Kyiv region, the head of the inter-district medical and social expert commission (MSEC) facilitated the obtaining of fictitious disability groups by conscripts, which allowed them to travel abroad.
The law enforcement officers established that the 59-year-old official organized a scheme to evade conscription, according to which men received disability certificates without real medical evidence. He entered official documents with fictitious information about diseases, which allowed conscripts to get a deferment from mobilization and legally leave Ukraine.
Investigators of the Kyiv region police, together with employees of the strategic investigations department, searched the suspect. During the searches, more than 25,000 dollars, 1,600 euros and copies of medical documents were seized from his car and his place of residence. In September of this year, the official was informed about the suspicion.
The indictment against the head of the inter-district MSEC was sent to the court on charges of official forgery (Part 1 of Article 366 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine) and illegal transportation of persons across the state border of Ukraine (Part 2 of Article 332 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
Earlier, we wrote that SBI employees exposed the head of the Khmelnytskyi MSEC and her son for illegal enrichment. During the searches, they found almost 6 million dollars in cash, jewelry and branded items.
"EBK" also reported that the acting heads of the Fastivsk MSEC reported suspicion of extorting and receiving a bribe from a conscript.
