The High Anti-Corruption Court (HACC) has lifted the obligation of former Energy Minister Herman Galushchenko to wear an electronic bracelet. At the same time, other procedural restrictions for the suspect were extended for two months, the Anti-Corruption Action Center reports.

The court partially granted the request of the prosecutor of the Specialized Anti-Corruption Prosecutor's Office (SAP) to extend the term of the former minister's procedural duties.

In particular, Galushchenko is obliged not to leave Kyiv and the Kyiv region without appropriate permission, as well as to surrender his passports for travel abroad.

At the same time, the court did not extend the obligation to wear an electronic monitoring device. Thus, the former official remains under procedural restrictions, but is no longer required to wear the bracelet.

It was previously reported that former Minister of Energy and Justice Herman Galushchenko could influence the National Commission for the Regulation of Energy and Energy Efficiency of Ukraine, which is supposed to be independent. He did this both during his work at the Ministry of Energy and during his work at the Ministry of Justice.
