South City Vice-Mayor Charged with Bribery

Prosecutors from the Khadzhibey District Prosecutor's Office sent an indictment to the court against a city council official in the Odessa district.
A local government representative is accused of receiving unlawful benefit (Part 3 of Article 368 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine).
While the man was temporarily serving as deputy mayor and head of the housing and communal services department at the same time, he managed to receive an illegal benefit from a representative of the condominium association. The matter involved organizing work on improving the area around the house.
The official estimated his "services" at 10 thousand UAH and promised that after the transfer of funds, the employees of the municipal enterprise would promptly begin work and attract the necessary equipment. Later, during a meeting in a shelter near a residential building, the representative of the city council received the agreed amount, after which he was detained by law enforcement officers in the act.
According to media reports, we are talking about Volodymyr Senyk, a former deputy from the People's Deputies of the Kherson Region, who previously managed the trolleybus depot of the Odesmiskelectrotrans enterprise and worked as deputy director of the Khmelnytskyi enterprise.

We also reported that the High Anti-Corruption Court extended the term of office of People's Deputy Viktor Bondar until November 24.
